Massage is the manipulation of muscle and connective tissue to enhance the function of those tissues and promote relaxation and well-being. Therapeutic massage can ease tension and reduce pain. Massage can be a part of physical therapy or practiced on its own. It can also be highly effective for reducing the symptoms of arthritis, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other disorders of the muscles and/or nervous system.
A variety of massage techniques are offered; Wholistic Massage is a combination of elements, therapeutic, deep tissue massage and other aspects learned and experienced through life's journey. Shiatsu is a combination of massage, stretches and point pressure, it relates to the meridian lines that run lengthwise in our bodies and their associated pressure points. In Celestial Sound Healing the client is assisted by simple techniques to relax, resonant tones are then sung over the body. While lying at rest the client is given the time and space to allow the resonance to filter into their whole being.
